Group Activity- A story in my organization-By Angie

I think in many Chinese companies, there are lack of a clear vision and culture. It is generally believed these are only a conception. Perhaps, the following story represents many Chinese leaders' idea about their organizations.
There are two leaders in café.
One said, “you are so busy, what’s your intend?”
“To expand the business.”  The other answered.
“Then, what’s your future plan?”
“Then, to dominate the market.”
“After that,  what are you going to do?”
“Then, I hope to be a listed company, and earn much more money. ”
Then, they laughed.
I think this is a universal phenomenon in many Chinese organizations. “Profit , to be a listed company”, is the most important goals. But, are there any others?
I think that it is many Chinese entrepreneurs are facing now.

  2. Making profit is always the first and greatest goal of enterprises, which is the obvious difference between profitable organizations and nonprofitable organizations. Also, I don't think the phenomena is limited in Chinese companies.
In the mail sent by Doctor Park, he asked a question, if making profit is the only target of your company, then after it is listed in the New York Stock Exchange, why do you still feel unsatisfactory? The CEO of our company Yu Minghong also stated in different occasions that his most serious fault in his life is making New Oriental School listed since his dream, as well as many teachers' can never come true.
In my opinion, the success of a company and the success of one's life are not the same conception. In other words, making money and being listed are the sign of a successful company but not the sign of a successful life of staff in this company since human beings' desires are much more complex than companies. How to balance the two aspects and to motivate staff is really wisdom of leaders.
